What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
IBS affects the large intestine and is a fairly common disorder. Constipation, diarrhea, bloating, gas, and cramping are common symptoms of this condition.
Described as a chronic, functional disorder of the small intestine, it is associated with discomfort, diarrhea, and pain. In western medicine, the exact cause of irritable bowel syndrome is still unknown.
An IBS condition is called grahani in Ayurveda, which means that this disorder eclipses the intestine’s ability to digest. The condition is called grahani in which the bowels lose control and its absorption is weakened.
What are the causes of Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
